Grrrrrrrrr....

Ok, I am now officially sick and tired of being sick. This is the 4th time in the past 2 months that I've gotten sick (and they're all different, I'm not catching the same thing over and over). Now I have nasty sinus congestion and a sore throat. *sigh*

But, I did have fun at KASF this weekend. Wasn't sick there. Got to pass the Royal Baker torch and had fun judging that competition. All the entries were pretty good. Which is nice when it is a food competition. Other competitions you usually only have to look at a bad entry. Culinary competitions you get to eat them. :)
So, very glad there were no bad entries. My tummy thanks all the entrants.

Lots of nifty stuff to see. It is always so exciting to see all of the hard work people have done to create their projects.

I finally finished my card weaving. Hurrah!!! Now I just need to sew it to my garb. Perhaps I will do that at Wednesday A&S. I am also planning on making some Byzantine garb for Coronation so I'll need to get started working on that, too.

So much to do...so little time...If only I stop getting sick I could probably get more done. *sigh*

Living in a Plastic Bubble

I feel like I need to live in a plastic bubble for a little while. After the cold and flu that I am just now getting over, I think I'm getting a urinary tract infection. *sigh* My poor immune system is just beaten down. People at work keep getting sick too. I feel like I need to be in a little human hamster ball so I won't get sick again.

So, if you haven't seen me around. I'm not avoiding people, I'm just trying to let my immune system catch up. Starting to do some Echenachia again to see if that will help boost my immune system too.

But, speaking of a human hamster ball it just reminds me that I never got to do the whole Zorb thing in New Zealand. Which, is basically a human hamster ball. They put you inside and chuck you down a hill. Now, I'm not into too many adventure sports - I'm not jumping out of any planes or jumping off a bridge with a rubber band strapped to me - but I think that I would be willing to be chucked down a hill in a human hamster ball. And you can do it either wet or dry. Wet, they toss in a bucket of water with you in the ball and then chuck you down the hill.

I am very excited to learn, since I missed doing it in New Zealand, that apparantly this year they are going to open a Zorb thingy in the Smokey Mountains. Yippiee!!! I must go do that when they get up and running. :)

Attack of the Hot Dog!!!

Well, I wasn't attacked by a hot dog, but apparantly James was. He had one at his school game last night and has been regurgitating since 1am. Fun times!

Again, I am reminded why I do not like carpet in the bathroom. Since he apparantly was sick on the floor and cleaned it up with what seems to be a mix of Fabreeze, Goo Gone and Shout (at least these were the cleaners found on the bathroom counter this morning). Poor Man - he tried, I feel bad for him but, I certainly didn't want to clean it up.

So he was looking like death slightly warmed over this morning so I got him some Gaterade and Ginger Ale and left him to his vomitous self. Hopefully he will start feeling better soon.

On a better note, I had my annual review yesterday in which they told me that I rocked and they never want me to leave. They gave me a raise and a bonus. :)
Yippiee!!! Gotta love that. I'm so glad I no longer work for STA Travel. I have so much less stress and am appreciated much more in this job. Yea me!

Anyways,I suppose I should get back to work.
