Good Weekend

Well, I think I had a pretty good weekend. Peaceful and restful.

I did get my loom put together. Not the best written instructions. But, I am used to construction instructions for dummies. What irked me off is they expected me to know what kind of screws were what. I don't know what the heck a pan head screw is and there were three different types of screws. But, I managed to figure it out. Now, to plan a project...

I did start a cardweaving project. It has been a long time since I've done any cardweaving. I had to brush up a bit but it all came back to me. I actually reused some parts of a previous project that I was not going to finish. The string is a lovely wool/silk mix. Very nice. So, it's all strung up across my living room and it's halfway done so hopefully I'll get that finished this week. I think I am going to use it as trim on my green wool tunic.

We also had our first Windmasters' Hill Cooks Guild meeting which I think went very well. Lots of sharing of ideas which I think is the whole point. And I think that we can mix those of us who are research junkies with those who just like to cook. I'm so happy all of us foodies are going to hang out on a normal basis. I think it will be a good thing. :)

Well, work this morning is surprisingly slow. Which frightens me, it probably means everything will come at once at 4:00pm. Oh well.
